Participants will gain a foundational understanding of trauma, including different trauma types and their effects on mental health. The session will highlight why a trauma-informed approach is essential in clinical settings and how it differs from standard therapeutic practices.

A key focus will be on trauma assessments, with a detailed walkthrough of validated tools available on NovoPsych. Clinicians will learn how to effectively administer, interpret, and integrate assessments such as the Adverse Childhood Experiences Questionnaire (ACE-Q), PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), and the International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ) to guide treatment planning.
